New Policy on Distance Education in Higher Education Sector
In compliance with the announcement of the program 100 days of human resource development ministry by the Honourable Minister of Human Resources Development, a new policy of Distance Education in Higher Education Sector was drafted.

India is famous for its magnificent tradition of education. In more ways than one, has laid the groundwork for the way the education sector and education has shaped today. Masters of India are revered around the world and because of this the students more and more people are turning to take admission in Indian Universities. Higher education in India is only behind China and the U.S., which makes it the most sought after among students, both domestic and international. India can boast of a strong network and reputed universities and colleges too. Currently has 20 central universities, 215 public universities, 100 universities and 13 institutes of national importance considered. The governing body at the top level is the University Grants Commission (UGC), which works in coordination with the government.
